Participation in National Consultative Meeting on Sanitation

Parishudh Initiative of Infosys Foundation made a presentation to Sri Jayaram Ramesh – Hon. Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation and senior officials last week (Feb 15th, 2012) at Delhi. Over 50 NGOs and companies like Infosys and Amul participated in this National Consultative Meeting on Rural Sanitation. Ten of them including Parishudh Initiative made a presentation on how to address the problem of lack of sanitation at national level. Presentation from Parishudh focused on Role of Corporates in addressing the issue of lack of sanitation.

The inputs by Parishudh and other NGOs were very well appreciated by the Hon. Minister. The points were summarized and Hon. Minister assured work on increasing the priority towards addressing the problem.
